Program
The FedEx Institute of Technology, located on the University of Memphis campus, serves as an incubator for a broad range of emerging information technologies including industry, government, commerce, healthcare and other arenas. As part of a joint venture, The Crump Firm planned and designed the building with a maximum degree of flexibility to accommodate future changes in building systems, communications and information technologies.The facility is sited between the existing University Business School, Executive Center and a major campus promenade. The FedEx Institute of Technology allows for formal offices for private industry research within the classroom configuration of a traditional campus building. The building serves as a vehicle to mesh the academic and business development cultures with a variety of progressive venues ranging from a 150-seat interactive auditorium, to a black-box presentation theater, to informal breakout spaces.
