Metcalf Crump, FAIA | Principal & President

With forty years as a principal architect and as an owner of his firm, Mr. Crump has served as principal architect in charge of a broad range of educational, governmental, institutional, corporate and private developments. Many of his projects are listed among the firm’s 33 design awards. In recognition of his award-winning designs and his professional contributions to the American Institute of Architects and his civic contributions in the Memphis community, Mr. Crump was advanced to membership in the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 1994.

David Hoback | Principal & Vice-President

As a founder and co-owner of The Crump Firm, Inc., Mr. Hoback has served as the principal in charge of a broad range of projects for corporate and governmental clients including the expansion to the Center Concourse ‘B’ and ‘Y’ Intersection at Memphis International Airport. His experience also includes the design of over 120 FedEx projects and facilities throughout the United States, the design of a prototype call center program for FedEx, and the relocation of 15 office facilities in the Southern Region for Digital Equipment Corporation. In addition to his duties as principal in charge of the design of corporate and administrative facilities, Mr. Hoback leads the firm’s interior designers and space planners on all the firm’s designs of corporate and administrative facilities and tenant office buildings.

Walt Reed, AIA | Senior Associate

Mr. Reed has served over the past 24 years as Project Manager or Project Architect for design of numerous projects involving new buildings, master planning, space planning and interior design. Mr. Reed is the Senior Associate for architecture , with responsibility managing and designing major building projects, overseeing quality control and supervising the architectural design staff. ADA studies and code analysis projects are performed and managed primarily by Mr. Reed, and many of the firm’s award winning projects were either designed or overseen by him.

Virginia Norman, IIDA | Senior Associate

As the Senior Associate for Interior Design Ms. Norman oversees the entire interior design staff along with managing the quality and overall design of the firm’s interior projects. Ms. Norman’s 17 years of experience in Interior Design at The Crump Firm, Inc. includes programming, space planning, budgeting for FF&E, developing art programs, selecting finishes, preparing construction documents, cost estimating, project management, move coordination, facilities management and developing signage packages for a broad range of corporate, educational and medical clients.
