Loyal Customers Help Crump Firm Defy Rough Times

They went out of business. I saw firms doing just hotel work. They go out of business or have it really curtailed,” said Metcalf Crump, FAIA, president and co-owner of The Crump Firm. This observation was exactly why, when he opened his practice he wanted to work on a diverse range of projects.

Racquet Club Renovations Receive Praise

The renovations, designed by The Crump Firm, at the Racquet Club of Memphis received high praise from the visiting pros for the 2011 Regions Morgan Keegan Championships & Cellular South Cup.

In a recent article by the Memphis Daily News, tournament director Peter Lebedevs had this to say, “Sam Querrey said it’s the best locker room he’s walked into on tour,” said Lebedevs, referring to the tennis pro. “And trainers have told us they absolutely love the changes.”

Triad Centre III Achieves LEED Gold

The Crump Firm is proud to announce that the seven-story multi-tenant office building Triad Centre III has achieved the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification. Triad Centre III is the first LEED Gold office building in Memphis, TN.

Along with being the Architectural Designer, The Crump Firm was also the LEED Facilitator, managing the LEED process throughout the building’s design and construction.

Tennessee ANG Project Moving Forward

With construction documents recently completed, the Tennessee Air National Guard is preparing for construction to begin. The new Base Civil Engineering building is the final part of the TnANG’s new base for the 164th Airlift Wing. As part of new Department of Defense requirements, the BCE building has been designed to meet minimum LEED Certification.

“The heavy burden of excessive big government and its anti-business attitude and policies have so negatively impacted our economy and discouraged so many small businesses to take risks and to invest their capital or borrowed funds in the future,” said Crump.

This being The Crump Firm’s 40th year in business, the firm has overcome its share of economic downturns, and with the several notable projects underway, the tide seems to be turning for the better.
